To be honest, I really don't know what I can call this food.
Hash Browns? Omelette?
I knew it in Taiwan, they called it "Hash Brown Tart"
so...let's call it hash brown tart :P
I show u hash brown recipe as well.
Hash Brown ingredients
1 potato
1 tbsp potato starch
pinches of salt & pepper
Hash Brown steps:
1. chop potato into 0.2-0.3cm
2. put into a microwaveable bowl,
cover with microwaveable plastic wrap, and microwave for 3 Mins
3. Add potato starch, salt and pepper into microwaved potato, then mix well
4. Use plastic wrap to shape potato into a rectangle.
(It's better to use plastic wrap, otherwise it will stick on your hands)
5. Heat oil to 320℉ (160℃), then fry both sides to golden brown.
Hash Brown is done
Hash brown Tart ingredients:
2 hash brown
2 egg
1 sliced cheese
ketchup for decorating
Hash brown tart steps:
1. Heat oil on medium heat
2. Beat eggs then make a thin circle omelette in frypan
3. Before omelette is done, add one hash brown
then top with sliced cheese and another hash brown
4. When omelette is done, move it to a plate
5. Cover all hash browns and decorate with ketchup. Serve hot.
2. Brush ramekins with butter, then coat with cocoa powder.
(You can use sugar also, but I like cocoa powder more)
3. Heat mil over low heat, when it is about to boil, turn off the heat
4. Add chopped chocolate into milk then stir well. Set aside, make it cooler.
(It's important that let it cooler, otherwise you will get scrambled egg later)
5. Stir together yolks and 1.5tbsp sugar in a mixing bowl. add cake flour, stir well
6. Add yolk batter into chocolate milk and mix will.
Heat them over low heat until thickened.
7. Transfer chocolate batter into a mixing bowl. set aside
8. Whisk egg whites by a mixer, whisk until frothy.
then slowly add 3tbsp sugar in 3 times, beat until stiff peak form.
9. Fold a 1/3 egg whites into chocolate batter then mix well.
Fold in remaining white, gently mix until blended.
(please do not mix fast or over mix, I show you how to stir in the tutorial.)
10. Pour, ladle or spoon the mixture into ramekins, and bang them lightly.
11. Bake for 15-20mins, then dust with cocoa powder immediately and fast. Serve hot.
(you can dust with confectioners sugar as well.)
but it is quite popular at Taiwanese Night Markets.
The combination of baked potato and cheese sauce is wonderful.
I love it so much.
I was going to buy cheese sauce, but I decided to make it by myself.
The result was amazing, my honey loved it so much.
I hope you can try it out and enjoy it.
Ingredients:
1Potato
2 slices turkey bacon
2 tbsp canned corn
(You can add anything you like
hot dog, grilled chicken, beef, broccoli etc )
Cheese sauce ingredients:
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp all purpose flour
100 ml milk
1/2 cup onions
4 slices cheddar cheese
salt & pepper to taste
How to:
1. Preheat the oven to 350℉, then bake the potato for 60-70mins.
(You can microwave the potato, it takes less then 10mins.
But I prefer to bake it. coz the smell of baked potato is much better)
2. Wait until the potato is almost done. (20 mins before)
3. Heat a pan on medium-high heat, no oil. (I use nonstick pan)
4. Cook bacon until crisp then add corn until hot, set aside.
Cheese sauce
5. Heat a saucepan on low heat, add butter until melted
6. Add all purpose flour, whisk together butter and flour until become batter .
7. Add milk to the batter, then mix well.
8. Add onions, salt and pepper, then cook until thickened.
9. Discard the onions.
10. Add cheddar cheese and mix until smooth. (If it's too thick, add more milk)
11. Cut the potato in half lengthwise but not all the way through
12. Mash the potato by a fork.
13. Top with bacon and corn
14. Pour the cheese sauce
15. Sprinkle with parsley, if desired. Serve hot.
Waffle is my favorite choice for breakfast and afternoon tea.
It is easy, simple and delicious.

Waffle Mix Ingredients
all purpose flour 300g
baking powder 17g
sugar 35g
salt 1/4 tsp
Mix all dry ingredients into a container or a bag then mix well.
Usually, I mix them when I am free,
so when I want to make waffles in the morning,
I don't need to spend too much time on measuring.
Waffle batter ingredients: (serves 2)
1 egg
150g waffle mix
200ml milk
1tbsp melted butter
1 drop vanilla extract
how to:
1. Preheat a waffle maker.
2. Beat a egg thoroughly in a mix bowl
3. Add waffle mix, milk, butter, and vanilla extract into the egg and mix well.
4. Pour the batter in to the preheated waffle maker.
5. Cook until golden and crisp. Serve hot.
6. Choose your favorite syrup, honey, fruit or ice cream.
You can create any combinations.
Pancake:
1. mix pancake batter.
( pancake batter is same as waffle batter, follow the ingredients and step above.)
2. Heat a pan on medium hot, no oil. (use nonstick pan)
3. Pour the batter into the pan.
4. Brown on both sides, serve hot.
